The challenge
Nick from Mainland Digital came to us with a vision: a marketing agency tailored to New Zealand’s booming construction industry. He didn’t have much to start with—just a rough sketch of a logo on paper and a request to make the brand feel unmistakably Kiwi.
Our solution
We drew inspiration from New Zealand’s iconic wide-open landscapes, crafting a colour palette that balanced nature and construction, capturing the essence of what feels uniquely New Zealand.
From there, we created a comprehensive brand and logo guide, then brought it all to life with a fast, responsive one-page website, expertly built in Webflow.
A natural brand
For the rebranding process we took a look at New Zealand's most striking asset, its natural beauty. We drew inspiration from the many landscapes that make up the South Island, and selected a colour palette that reflected its vibrancy.
For our main headline font, we went with Thunder. This was chosen because the font is striking and invokes a construction feel. Our use of big headlines makes it easy for the website to be scanned quickly, which was a key point for us. We know the target demographic of contractors are usually quite busy, and we wanted to give them the most amount of information in the least amount of time.
Measure twice, cut once
Our website design balances minimalism with unique layouts, creating a high-end feel while keeping everything easy to navigate. The goal was to make the site visually striking yet effortlessly scannable, ensuring a smooth user experience.
Speed was another key focus. We optimized every element to keep load times lightning-fast, even in areas with slower internet connections.
The result? A clean, intuitive, and memorable website with branding that feels natural and truly Kiwi.
